EXPORT QUOTA

The Government of the Russian Federation approved an export quota for the export of grain in the amount of 25.5 million tons, it will be valid from February 15 to June 30, 2023, which is two and a half times more than a year earlier.
One of the instruments regulating the supply of grain crops from the Russian Federation is a quota for their export, which was introduced in February 2021 as part of government measures to curb the growth in food prices. The quota is distributed among exporters based on the volume of deliveries in the first half of the season. The volume of the tariff quota for export from the Russian Federation from February 15 to June 30, 2022 outside the EAEU of wheat and meslin (a mixture of wheat and rye) was 8 million tons, for the export of rye, barley and corn - 3 million tons.
