As reported on the RIA News website, on May 4, the Government imposed a temporary ban on the export of buckwheat from Russia.
According to the document, from June 5 to August 31 it will not be possible to export buckwheat, coarse groats from it, buckwheat grain. Last week, the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to temporarily restrict the export of buckwheat and buckwheat groats in order to maintain the required production volumes on the Russian market and prevent sharp price fluctuations.
The Ministry of Agriculture also plans to expand the acreage under the main cereal crops in 2021.
