Grain terminal received accreditation for transshipment of grain to China
Zabaikalsky Grain Terminal, the largest grain logistics facility in Russia, launched as part of the EEF-2022, received official permission from the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China for the storage and transshipment of grain products intended for export to the Chinese market, the press service of the EPT company reports.
The world's first grain railway terminal is a project of international importance and a key element of the New Overland Grain Corridor program, which consists in stimulating agricultural production in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. This facility, designed for a capacity of up to 8 million tons per year, will provide a profitable and short route for the export of grain products from these territories to China by solving the technical problem of different railway tracks of the two countries, reducing the delivery time from three months (by sea) to two weeks.
